Affordable Small Business Website Goes Live

The owners of Anchor Design & Pool wanted something nicer, more current and SEO-friendly. They also did not want to spend 5 to 10 thousand dollars to do it.

UPDATE: this business has closed, but the story still holds as a good example. Find more examples of modern website built with WordPress at this link.

The owners of Anchor Design & Pool Corporation inherited a site created ages ago, and knew they wanted something nicer, something more current and more SEO-friendly. They also did not want to spend 5 to 10 thousand dollars to do it.

The new Anchor website has a home page with rotating images (set to fade in and out), as well as 24 pages, many containing custom image galleries to showcase or illustrate their work.

Utilizing the Essence theme from iThemes, and a special SEO plugin, the owners will be able to add or modify content on their own, without having to pay a high rate to a web developer, while automatically attracting the interest of search engines.

Many people think of WordPress as “a blog engine,” but here’s more proof that this great framework has evolved to the point where it can support business web sites.

Search engines love fresh content. Utilized correctly, the WordPress framework makes it dirt simple to publish content as often as you like, without having to go to a developer.
